Lady Crusaders Collect SSAC Honors

The 2022-23 SSAC women’s basketball year-end award winners were announced Wednesday evening, highlighted by Madelyn Ladner earning Freshman of the Year honors.

Ladner currently averages 5.6 points and 3.1 rebounds, while logging 18.7 minutes per game.  Earning First Team All-Conference honors was Lauren Rowley who on the season averages 15.4 points per game and shoots 42%  from the floor and 37% from three point range.

Earning Second Team All-Conference honors were McKinley Seal and Rebekah Engle. Seal averages 6.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game while Engle averages 14.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. 

The Lady Crusaders also got it done in the classroom as every player eligible for SSAC Academic Team honors were selected.  

The Lady Crusaders open up the SSAC Championship tomorrow against the University of Mobile.  Tip-off is slated for 9:00 am at the Multi-Plex at Cramton Bowl.
