Congressman Mike Ezell, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Mississippi’s 4th district since 2023, shared several updates on social media regarding his recent activities and legislative priorities.

On June 4, 2025, Congressman Ezell expressed gratitude for a visit from constituents. He posted, “Thanks for stopping by! It was great to catch up with folks from South Mississippi.”

The following day, June 5, 2025, he announced the maiden voyage of the USCG Cutter Storis. In his post, he highlighted its significance as a new polar icebreaker that enhances national capabilities in the Arctic. He stated, “This week, the @USCG Cutter Storis embarked on its maiden voyage! This new polar icebreaker, the first added to the fleet in 25 years, will bolster our nation’s presence and capabilities in the Arctic.” The vessel is homeported in Juneau, Alaska.

Later that day, Congressman Ezell reiterated his commitment to supporting the Coast Guard through legislative efforts. He tweeted about ongoing improvements and future plans: “Our Coast Guard is always ready — now it’s our turn to support them. The One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers big wins: Modernized fleet Better training Stronger capabilities We’re not done. I’ll keep fighting for the tools they need.”

Mike Ezell was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi in 1959 and continues to reside there. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997.
