Southern Miss concluded its participation in the Sun Devil Classic with a 5-0 loss to No. 8 Arizona State in Tempe, Arizona. The Golden Eagles now hold a record of 3-9 for the season.
Arizona State, which remains undefeated at 9-0, secured straight-set victories across all five pairings during the dual. In the second flight, Zuzanna Michalska and Abby Lewis of Southern Miss lost a close first set 21-19 before falling 21-12 in the second set. The Sun Devils also won in two sets at the first, third, and fifth flights, clinching the overall dual.

3. Arden Besecker and Zoe Taylor (ASU) defeated Kitija Martini Adamsone and Brooklyn Bowlder (USM) 21-18, 21-8.
4. McKenna Flaherty and Kristiin Gilmour (ASU) defeated Ryann Thomas and Lillie Johnson (USM) 21-13, 21-12.
5. Kendall Whitmarsh and Olivia McElroy (ASU) defeated Iustina Corcoz and Margarita Grigoreva (USM) 21-13, 21-16.
Southern Miss will next compete at the Stetson Spring Invitational in DeLand, Florida. The team is scheduled to face UAB and Stetson on Friday, March 13, followed by matches against Texas A&M—Corpus Christi, Florida Gulf Coast, and North Alabama on Saturday, March 14.
