Southern Miss Completes FAU March Invitational
Southern Miss falls to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Florida Atlantic in final day of the FAU March Invitational.
Game One – Texas A&M – Corpus Christi 3, Southern Miss 2
The Golden Eagles fought hard against the Islanders but came up just short. Southern Miss (6-2) claimed points at the second and fourth positions thanks to Kellie Garraway and Taylor Pierce and Hallie Phalen and Kai Norman, respectively.
Corpus claimed two points in three set matchups, including at the first and fifth positions. Top flight pair Ola Chudzik and Vanessa Hurnikova forced a third set and fell 15-10 in the extra frame. Southern Miss’ fifth pair of Madison Cassidy and Ashlyn Rough also fell short in the extra set, 15-8.
