Southern Miss Softball announces promotional events for all home games in upcoming season

Southern Miss Softball has released its promotional schedule for the 2026 home season, featuring a range of themed events and giveaways during its 26-game lineup at Hattiesburg.

The season will begin with the Black and Gold Challenge from February 6-8. The opening game is set for Friday, February 6, at 4:30 p.m. against Southeast Missouri State. Fans attending opening weekend can receive schedule magnets and rally towels. Additional games that weekend include matchups against UAB, Lipscomb, Louisiana Tech, and Southeast.

Special nights are planned throughout the season. On February 17, McNeese visits for Girl Scout Night, where Girl Scouts in uniform will get discounted tickets and a Southern Miss Softball scout patch giveaway.

The Hub City Classic runs from February 27 to March 1 with a $15 premium game day pass. Highlights include a Black Out night on February 27 with koozie and t-shirt giveaways, Strikeout Cancer Day on February 28 supporting cancer research, and autograph sessions after the Jackson State matchup on March 1.

Alcorn State comes to town on March 3 for Gold Out night with gold pennant flag giveaways. The series against Louisiana from March 13-15 includes Seymore Sidekicks Weekend, offering junior PA announcing opportunities and youth clinics. Fans can also receive bucket hats, trading cards, and participate in face painting.

Nicholls State’s visit on March 25 features Greek Night and a canned food drive where each donated item earns a ticket.

James Madison’s series from April 2-4 includes Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night with softball bingo prizes, Hero Day granting free admission to military personnel and first responders in uniform, as well as an Easter egg hunt following the April 4 game.

Southeastern Louisiana plays on April 8 during “601 Night,” which invites local communities to join the festivities.

Georgia Southern’s visit from April 10-12 is marked as Alumni Weekend. There will be trivia contests, commemorative jersey koozie giveaways, recognition ceremonies for All-Americans Amy Herman and Courtney Blades before Saturday’s game, trading card pack distributions, and post-game base running opportunities for kids.

Senior Weekend against South Alabama takes place April 24-26. Activities include Fan Appreciation Day with multiple prize opportunities on April 24; pre-game senior ceremonies for Paris Ferguson (April 25) and Natalie Herrington (April 26), along with signature poster giveaways; more trading card packs; and post-game catch sessions for kids.

Season-long promotions feature schedule posters and Southern Miss Softball bracelets available while supplies last.

Tickets are currently available online or through the ticket office until January 23 for season passes. Single game tickets go on sale January 27. Group discounts are also offered online. Fans are encouraged to purchase early to secure preferred seating options for the upcoming season.
