March is full of madness, but now it’s time for the most important showdown! Whether you’re on team crinkle cut or cajun style, we can all agree that fries are a staple of love across the Pine Belt. Fries are delicious, but can also cause cardiovascular health problems when not eaten in moderation or with modification.

We’ve come up with a few tips to make your favorite side dish heart-healthy for you and your family!

 Use a low-sodium cajun seasoning.

 Air-fry or bake your fries instead of using oil.

 Only eat fries once or twice a week.

 Eat your fries without any extra dips or sauces.
