National Library Week fact of the day! Last fiscal year the library received $1,897,079 in public funding. We circulated 98,260 adult books and 55,438 children’s books – that’s a a market value of $2,204,499. So, in terms of value, our community is ahead $307,420 on books alone! That’s before we circulate DVDs and CDs – or provide e book, e audio and e video downloads – or before kids come to story time – or before people use computers or scanning services – or go to book clubs…. Our library not only provides a host of services to our users – we do it as an incredible value!
