Forrest County, Miss. – Sheriff Charlie Sims was on hand today to accept a tasty donation from the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi.
Donating fifty cartons of cookies were Jennifer Rothert, Product Program Manager and Jocelyn Williams, Membership Specialist.
Sheriff Sims said, “Everyone likes girl scout cookies! On behalf of all deputies and employees of the FCSO, we appreciate the thoughtfulness of our local Girl Scouts and their leaders for thinking of the Sheriff’s Department. We certainly plan to enjoy their gift to us!”
The Girl Scout cookie program is much more than selling cookies. This program helps the girls’ ability to learn about entrepreneurship as they run their own cookie business. An integral part of their Cookie Program is donating cookies to first responders, active military, and hospital workers.
