As we get into summer many gardeners will use pesticides to keep their vegetable gardens in top shape. When used appropriately pesticides are perfectly safe for use on vegetable crops. However, we must follow the preharvest interval. That is the amount of time from application to harvest. You can use this interval to help decide what pesticide best suites you. For example a fast growing summer squash plant may need to be harvested every other day. Selecting a product with a 1 day preharvest interval is ideal. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about selecting an appropriate pesticide.
