As Halloween approaches, we at the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office feel it's important to notify parents of a possible danger to look out for while Trick or Treating this year. THC Gummies, or edibles, have become very prominent in our area. These packages look almost identical to normal candy packaging, but with key words changed. An example of this would be Sour Patch Kids type candies. There is a THC Gummy called “Stoner Patch Dummies”. At a glance, the packaging is almost identical until you read the wording on it. The important thing to look for is 1. The wording on the packaging, and 2. Warning labels on the packaging. These packages will list THC content somewhere on the package. We have attached some examples of these THC Candy packages. If for some reason you come across any of these type substances, please call and we will investigate the incident. 601-544-7800.
