7% of Lamar County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Lamar County recorded an unemployment rate of 7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,233 people out of the 63,610 living in Lamar County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lamar County has decreased compared to the 9% registered in 2020.
