Congressman Mike Ezell, representing Mississippi's 4th District, recently shared several updates on legislative matters via social media. Born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and serving since 2023 after replacing Steven Palazzo, Ezell is an advocate for American energy independence and tax relief.

On March 5, 2025, Congressman Ezell announced a forthcoming vote in the House on his bill, S.J. Res. 11. This resolution seeks to use the Congressional Review Act to overturn President Biden’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) rule targeting oil and gas production on the outer continental shelf. "Later this week, the House will vote on my bill, S.J. Res. 11 - a Congressional Review Act to overturn Biden’s BOEM rule targeting oil & gas production on our outer continental shelf."

In another statement made on the same day, Congressman Ezell emphasized the need to extend the Trump Tax Cuts for economic relief. He criticized Democrats for their opposition to these tax cuts: "We must extend the Trump Tax Cuts to provide much-needed relief for Americans."

Ezell also expressed his support for shipbuilding initiatives as Chairman of the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee within the @TransportGOP. On March 5, he noted his enthusiasm regarding President Biden's support for shipbuilding: "Hailing from South Mississippi and being the @TransportGOP Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee Chairman... I’m thrilled to hear @POTUS fully support and prioritize shipbuilding."
